Orientation Program Held for BBA and BBA Finance by School of Business Pokhara University

The School of Business (SOB), Pokhara University, organized an orientation program for the newly admitted students of the BBA and BBA Finance programs of the 2026 intake on September 18, 2026, at Hotel Pokhara Village. Nearly 200 students, faculty members, and staff participated in the program.

The program formally began with an inaugural session chaired by Associate Prof. Dr. Bal Ram Bhattarai, Director of the School of Business. Prof. Dr. Gyaneshwor Sharma, Dean of the Faculty of Management Studies, Pokhara University, attended the program as the Chief Guest.

The program included a welcome address by Dr. Bharat Raj Wagle, Program Coordinator of BBA/BBA-BI/BBA-Finance, followed by the national anthem. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Umesh Singh Yadav provided an overview of the BBA and BBA Finance programs, highlighting their academic structure and opportunities.

A representative of the graduating students, Riya Jarmakattell, also shared her experiences and remarks with the newcomers. The program further included an introduction to the faculty and School of Business by Asst. Prof. Dr. Santosh Kumar Gurung.

Students also received information regarding library services from Deputy Administrator (Library) Min Kumari Dallakoti. The Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Gyaneshwor Sharma, addressed the students and shared his perspectives on management education and the importance of academic engagement.

The inaugural session concluded with closing remarks and a vote of thanks by Dr. Bal Ram Bhattarai. The program then proceeded to a lunch and casual networking session, providing students with an opportunity to interact with faculty members and fellow newcomers.
